About the Programme
The Engineering Graduate Trainee Programme is designed to provide passionate graduates a pathway for professional development and the opportunity to help manage one of the most technologically advanced fleet of aircraft in the world. Depending upon the type of degree and area of interest, our Engineering Graduate Trainee Programme offers four specialist streams to choose from – Inventory Management, Maintenance Planning, Operational and Technical.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop an understanding of the Cathay’s Engineering Department and the organisation –purpose, structure, strategy, values and drivers
- Acquire profound understanding and accomplish all learning objectives for each rotation at different teams and departments
- Work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders / teams for assigned projects with the demonstration of collaboration and teamwork
- Apply technical knowhow and industry best practices to drive the success of Engineering operations and projects
- Contribute innovations and new ideas to leverage latest technology as an enabler to create competitive advantage for the business
Job Requirements
- Final year students or recent graduates (with not more than 2 years' work experience) with a bachelor's degree or higher in any discipline
- For Operational stream – Holder of HKAR-147 Certificate of Recognition or HKAR-66 Cat B1.1 or B2 knowledge examinations and practical assessments would be an advantage
- For Technical stream – Holder of HKIE Scheme “A” accredited degree would be an advantage
- Right to work in Hong Kong (eligible visa holders are also welcome, including via the Top Talent Pass Scheme (TTPS) and Immigration Arrangements for Non-Local Graduates (IANG)
- Strong academic performance
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with project management experience
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate and work as a team
- Passion for aviation and a career in the Engineering field
