Purpose

Are you ready to make the most of your winter semester break? Join our Engineering Internship Programme and gain hands-on experience supporting one of the world’s most sophisticated aircraft fleets.

As a Cathay Intern, you're more than a student — you're a member of our elite Engineering team. This 6-week full-time internship offers you a unique opportunity to get your hands on the heart of Cathay’s technical operations. You will work alongside experienced engineers, tackle real-world challenges, and get your Engineering career off to a flying start. 

Interns with outstanding performance will also be fast-tracked in the application for our Engineering Graduate Trainee Programme.

About the Programme

During the 6-week internship, you will be assigned to one of the following real-life engineering projects, each designed to give you ownership and impact:

  • Electrical Load Analysis Re-Baselining
  • Predictive Maintenance Dashboard for Fleet Health
  • Resource Analysis Framework for Transit Operations
  • Lubrication, Servicing, Discard, Restoration (LSDR) Scheduled Maintenance Task Optimisation Framework
  • Maintenance Standards Effectiveness Review
  • Inventory and Process Optimisation Dashboard

Through visits, briefings, and on-the-job training, you will understand what it takes to deliver a safe, compliant and reliable fleet that moves people forward in life by connecting them with meaningful people, places and experiences.  

You will also have the opportunity to work alongside and learn from the best experts in the field of fleet management and meet other passionate budding Engineers like yourself.

Job Requirements

  • Non-final year undergraduates with a bachelor's degree or higher in any discipline; Engineering degree would be an advantage  
  • Right to work in Hong Kong (non-local students with No Objection Letter (NOL) are also welcome) 
  • Strong academic performance 
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English   
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills   
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with collaboration mindset     
  • Innovative, adaptive, and open-minded   
  • Passion for aviation and a career in the Engineering field 
  • Available to work full-time from Dec 2025 to Jan 2026
