Role Introduction

Reports to: Assistant Manager Leave Services

The Lead Data & System Analyst sits under the Inflight Service Delivery Department mainly responsible for supporting the digital and data analytics ambition and lean initiatives of the Well-being & Leave Support Team (“WLST”) that will enable an efficient and streamlined service and administration of all types of leave; supporting the Well-being & Leave Support Manager and Head of Cabin Crew in generating actionable quantitative statistics and insight to support decision making for all matters pertaining to Inflight Service Delivery cabin crew team.

Key Responsibilities

Digital/Systems Development:

  • Recommend and develop new digital processes to improve service quality and
    process efficiencies; and liaise with the Information Technology department, Inflight Service Delivery – Planning team and any other business units to implement quality metrics, ensuring accessibility and consistency of data and readiness of related analytics capabilities
  • Assume the role of subject matter expert on all WLST programs e.g. CAMS, iClaims, POINTS, case management tools and any other supplementary programs necessary for the day to day function of the WLST. In relation to this, the Leave Data & Systems Analyst is to participate in all solution discussions, evaluate and propose solution approaches and test all solution aspects including, but not limited to, acceptance and performance integration

Data Analysis and Attendance Related Matters

  • Responsible for the production and maintenance of all WLST related statistics
    e. AMP and PAMS statistics, work injury related statistics, leave, unpaid leave
    and ad hoc leave statistics
  • Assist in evaluating data collected from Group Safety and Operational Risk
    Management team and work injury management service provider and provide in
    depth analysis of behavioural trends of cabin crew incurring work injury and how
    this is connected to lost time injury
  • Identify specific behaviours based on various statistics and keep track of all development concerning cabin crew such as new routes, new service procedures, new or changes to lifestyle schemes, public holiday schedules or political environment, track changes such as peaks and troughs in absence statistics and trends and make recommendation to Well-being & Leave Support Manager on strategies to curb and address work injury cases and sick leave
    cases
  • Serve as Well-being & Leave Support Team resident expert on Qliksense and
    Alteryx for data analysis; manage enhancements on data and tools to advance
    analytical power, including analytics requirement and testing, prepare training
    material and delivery

Leave Management

  • Administer and arrange all cabin crew leaves (e.g. annual leave, maternity
    leave, sick leave, compassionate leave, unpaid leave etc.)
  • Support and facilitate cabin crew ad-hoc leave requests due to compassionate reasons as and when required; and supervise and facilitate the allocation of ground duties to cabin crew taking up maternity ground duties; and ensure all leave support services meet service standards

Cabin Crew Crisis and Incident Management And Other Support

  • Support Inflight Service Delivery teams during crisis or incidents; and participate in E& A activities as required
  • Carry out any other tasks and duties as required by Head of Cabin Crew
    and/or Well-being & Leave Support Manager; and deputise Assistant Manager Leave Services when required

Requirements

  • Diploma or above
  • Knowledge of cabin crew policies and procedures and an understanding of cabin crew culture
  • Knowledge of relevant ordinances and best practices to ensure legal and
    contractual compliance
  • Prior experience in using analytics tools, visualization tools, SQL, reporting tools
    and database management concepts an advantage
  • Team player with strong communication, customer and interpersonal skills
  • Curious, meticulous, self-motivated and strong continuous improvement mind
    set
  • Willingness to embrace change
  • Good project coordination skills
  • Strong analytical, fact-finding and decision making skills
