Role Introduction

Reports to: Data & AI Governance Manager

The role is part of our Digital Department (DGT), which is committed to becoming one of the world’s greatest service brands by transforming into a digital leader known for our strong digital culture and capabilities.

As the Assistant Manager – Excellence and Engagement, you will enhance Cathay’s analytics experience by supporting the data community’s needs and driving the implementation of data and AI strategies.

You will also maintain resources to help scale analytics across the organization, promote data-driven decision-making through communication and outreach, and foster the growth of Cathay’s analytics community. Additionally, you will support best practices to ensure consistency in analytics throughout the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the engagement lead in Digital AI Centre of Excellence
  • Collaborate with analytics managers in DGT, driving engagement strategies on Centre of Excellence
  • Drive analytics community and maturity growth in Cathay, with leading analytics lab, organising outreach events, sharing analytics & AI best practices, and communicating data & AI developments to wider user groups
  • Prepare data & AI training modules
  • Evaluate business needs on AI &; data analytics capabilities and discuss with technology partners to identify solutions to improve our analytics platform offerings
  • Lead data catalogue curation & management, driving data quality and transparency to accelerate data driven decision making across the organization
  • Collaborate with data & AI governance functions to refine and manage data policies (such as quality metrics, design principles, data definition, metadata, lifecycle)

Requirements

  • University degree in Business Management, Knowledge Management, Operations Research, Statistics, or related disciplines
  • Minimum of 4 years’ work experience; knowledgeable in at least one of the following areas: Customer Management, Service Delivery, Commercial, or Operations
  • Strong project management skills with solid experience participating in cross-departmental work and business process review
  • Familiarity with AI and a strong grasp of emerging technologies
  • Experience in analytics and insight creation, as well as change management
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik) is preferred but not required
  • Experience with data management and governance policies, as well as data science techniques, is advantageous
  • Ability to inspire, build trust, and promote collaboration among stakeholders in IT, operations, and with external partners
  • Intellectually curious to understand existing processes and willing to challenge assumptions
  • Resourceful, self-motivated, and decisive, with strong influencing and interpersonal skills
