Role Introduction

Reports to: Head of Transformation

The role is part of our Group Opportunities and Risks (GOR) department, a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team with a vision to future-proof the business by embracing a forward-looking mindset. Our goal is to successfully execute business strategies, pursue new opportunities, and effectively manage our biggest risks.

As the Strategic Transformation Manager, you will have a unique opportunity to support that vision by helping the business solve some of its most complex challenges, transform its ways of working, and support senior leaders in the execution of our biggest decisions and initiatives in pursuit of new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior internal advisor and transformation partner for assigned business units and build deep stakeholder relations with Directors and their teams
  • Engage senior leaders, including Directors and General Managers, to define and drive impactful initiatives relevant to the execution of their medium to long term vision
  • Lead multiple concurrent strategic initiatives from the Opportunities Registers from initiation through benefit realisation; manage project timelines, governance, resource allocation, stakeholder engagement, escalations and delivery across complex multi-departmental initiatives
  • Drive tactical delivery of performance improvement initiatives using structured methodologies: support cross functional teams with problem definition and validation, workshop facilitation, structured analysis and insight generation and benefits tracking to accelerate value delivery from highest priority BU opportunities
  • Establish KPIs, measurement frameworks, and reporting systems for initiatives; benefits realisation and provide regular performance updates to senior leadership. Conduct post-implementation reviews, lessons learned analysis, and continuous optimisation activities to sustain improvement gains
  • Conduct internal / external benchmarking and industry research to identify best practices, innovative methodologies, and emerging tools to inform improvement initiative design and implementation
  • Collaborate with the business units to promote and embed a culture of relentless improvement and excellence across the organisation
  • Support the execution of relentless improvement initiatives through development of building blocks required to drive a culture of improvement; assessments to understand the current and desired state of maturity; and formulate actions to influence the culture
  • Provide targeted training and coaching (as required for specific initiatives), workshop facilitation and knowledge transfer to equip staff with a structured framework to solve business problems
  • Support development of AI self-service tools; gather requirements, document user journeys, support user testing, and track adoption/performance metrics in partnership with relevant teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in any discipline
  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in developing and implementing strategic initiatives and leading high impact transformation or business optimisation initiatives in complex environments. Consulting experience is a plus
  • Proven track record of managing multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities and resource constraints; demonstrated ability to build trusted advisor relationships with senior stakeholders across multiple business units
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguous challenges, translate data into insights and business opportunities, and support senior management in high-stakes decision-making
  • Exceptional communication, influence, and relationship-building skills, with experience engaging senior teams, executives and cross-functional leaders. Fluent in English; proficiency in Cantonese or Mandarin is an advantage
  • Expertise in driving organisational change, transformation, and process innovation in conjunction with other practices and emerging technologies (e.g. AI, RPA)
  • Thrives in fast-paced, high-pressure environments, with a track record of delivering measurable impact at scale
  • Proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis tools preferred
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (or Green Belt with proven large-scale project success)
  • Project management certification (PMP, Prince2) is a plus
