Role Introduction

Reports to: Lounge and Catering Procurement Manager   

The role is part of a global team in our Procurement and Aircraft Trading (APD) department who are responsible for establishing and promoting best practices, driving standardization, and identifying areas of continuous improvement of the source-to-pay (S2P) process across the procurement function.

As the Procurement Executive, you will be responsible for improving the productivity and value of the Lounge & Catering categories by providing administrative and operational support to the category managers including but not limited to Ariba management, data analysis and integrity, NDA, RFI and RFP preparation, reporting, projects and meetings coordination. You will also require the review of contracts and possibly commercial negotiations with some vendors for some assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and prepare category strategy: Support suppliers’ assessment and benchmarking processes and conduct detailed analytical work for budget planning purposes. Prepare annual spend reporting and supplier analysis.
  • Market Research: Support supplier market research, existing solution offerings, future market trends, product alternatives, new business models, etc. Monitor the supply market that caters to our business needs
  • Stakeholder Management: effectively develop and maintain strong working-level relationships with business stakeholders.
  • Support and participate in end-to-end sourcing projects, from market research, preparation & management of RFx process using the Ariba e-sourcing platform, financial analysis, contract & commercial negotiations, team evaluation and contracting
  • Using SAP system for spend monitoring, ensuring best practice cost control mechanisms are in place
  • Assisting and supporting the category manager in carrying out any other relevant duties as required

Requirements

  • University graduate. Business or Legal degree is an advantage.
  • Expecting min. 2 years of working experience. Less experienced candidate with potential will also be considered. A background in Procurement whilst advantageous is not a must.
  • Excellent attention to details and a thirst for knowledge is critical for this key role.
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of basic accounting principles. Experience in supply market analysis, cost evaluation, and contract management is an advantage
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and basic contract law a plus; Knowledge of Ariba e-procurement system is an advantage.
  • Ability to work somewhat independently with minimum guidance and meet demanding deadlines; Ability to adapt and learn rapidly.
  • Effective project management skills, numerate and good computer skills
  • Excellent people skills; Ability to inspire and build trust and respect among the APD community
  • Willing to travel overseas as needed
