Group Security Executive - ID Systems (18-month contract)
Role Introduction
Report to: Assistant Manager Group Safety and Operational Risk Management - Support Services
This role is part of a support services team in our Group Safety and Operational Risk Management Department who are dedicated to keeping each and every one of our flights, our customers and our colleagues safe and secure. Avoiding an incident or accident is a cultural mindset that involves every single person working in our group.
You will be responsible for supporting the system upgrade and migration project at Cathay House. Ensuring the data accuracy in the access control system at all times.
In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in managing advanced security systems, including CCTV and access control upgrades. You will develop skills in user acceptance testing, data management, and stakeholder coordination, enhancing your expertise in security operations, compliance, and efficient service delivery across a dynamic corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate the successful upgrade of the CCTV camera system and the migration of standalone IP cameras into a centralized CCTV core system at Cathay City. Additionally, perform UAT test case execution to ensure the Access Control System upgrade at Cathay House functions as expected and meets operational requirements.
- Maintain data accuracy in the access control system, ensuring all records are up-to-date and audit-ready.
- Maintain the functionality of ID Office equipment, including card printers, cameras, and lighting, ensuring minimal downtime and consistent service delivery.
- Manage the day-to-day functions of the Cathay City ID Office, ensuring efficient and accurate delivery of ID and access services across Cathay City and Cathay House.
- Maintain the integrity and performance of the access control system, ensuring timely updates of employee, visitor, and contractor records in coordination with IT and People Hub.
- Administrate the issuance and renewal of ID cards and access credentials for all categories of personnel, including employees, tenants, retirees, and visitors, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
- Serve as the primary contact for internal departments, subsidiaries, and external partners regarding ID and access matters, ensuring timely resolution of inquiries and requests.
- Support visitor management processes in collaboration with building management and reception teams, ensuring a secure and seamless experience for guests.
- Maintain and update the ID Office’s operational procedures, ensuring alignment with corporate standards and readiness for audits.
- Generate regular and ad-hoc reports on card issuance, access activity, and system usage to support operational insights and decision-making; conduct monthly stock checks and manage inventory planning for ID supplies to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Requirements
Skills
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with a high degree of integrity.
- Ability to analysis problem and make decision independently.
- Good planning skills with good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication skill, ability to speak both spoken and written English and Chinese.
- Good interpersonal skill and customer focus when delivering service.
- Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and knowledge of Photoshop preferred.
Knowledge
- Minimum HKCEE/HKDSE qualifications, with at least 5 subjects passed including English language, or equivalent.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ working experience with experience on facility access control system preferred.
