Role Introduction

Reports to: Head of Digital Innovation

The role is part of our Digital Department (DGT), which is committed to becoming one of the world’s greatest service brands by transforming into a digital leader known for our strong digital culture and capabilities.

As the Digital Innovation Manager, you will be leading digital transformation initiatives within our organization, fostering a culture of innovation and enhancing overall efficiency at Cathay.

As the Digital Innovation Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving digital transformation across the organization, cultivating an innovative mindset, and improving operational efficiency at Cathay.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with IT, Digital Experience, and business units to manage the innovation pipeline through understanding customer needs and applying data and technology
  • Implement the process for managing innovation including discovery workshops, ideation activities, and identifying candidates for proof-of-concept, trial, and adoption
  • Support funding and governance of innovation projects, build and evaluate business cases for investment decisions
  • Present regular updates on innovation project progress to senior leadership and key stakeholders
  • Develop strategy and implement initiatives such as workshops, campaigns, and events to foster a culture of innovation
  • Plan and deliver communication campaigns on digital leadership for internal and external audiences
  • Assess the current innovation culture, define the desired future state, and recommend initiatives to bridge the gap
  • Collaborate with Cathay Academy (Learning & Development Department) to develop and expand the Digital Curriculum for technology adoption
  • Build and lead a high-performing team within the Digital department, and establish partnerships with change champions and digital representatives
  • Collaborate with external partners like start-ups, tech companies, universities, and internal teams to accelerate innovation and ensure successful delivery of initiatives

Requirements

  • University degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Analytics, Digital or related discipline
  • Minimum 7 years of working experience in Digital, IT or Project Management, preferably in new technology, start-ups or consultancy
  • Experience in travel and lifestyle businesses will be an advantage but not a must
  • Experience in program delivery and strong understanding of digital landscape in Hong Kong and Cathay’s key markets
  • Great team player with ability to inspire, build trust, and promote collaboration among stakeholders in sizeable organization
  • Proactive, fast learning, independent, and passion for digital excellence
  • Take ownership, resourceful and decisive with excellent influencing, interpersonal, and team leadership skills
