Role Introduction

Engineering’s ambition is to be one of the world’s highest performing, customer centric and digitally enabled engineering teams and the role of the Planned Maintenance and Records Engineer is to deliver optimised maintenance programmes that are planned and executed with precision, while driving for continuous business improvement to ensure safe, reliable and optimised operations.

Key Responsibilities

The Technical Records and Configurations (TRC) is accountable for ensuring safe storage of the complete set of compliance related records, including aircraft and asset documents and technical maintenance records; ensuring aircraft configuration and component usage data in the Maintenance & Engineering (M&E) system are accurate to demonstrate compliance, preserve asset value and supporting a cost effective aircraft redelivery process.

Senior Engineer is responsible for:

• Set up and maintain aircraft records and configurations model accurately in M&E system following documented policies. Ensure data setup and updates comply with Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department (HKCAD), International Air Transport Association (IATA) or any other relevant authorities’ requirements.
• Ensure provision and update of technical maintenance documents and data by suppliers such as Maintenance and Repair Organization (MRO) in accordance with contractual requirement (e.g. aircraft / engine / APU statutory log books) following documented timeline to support continuous compliance.
• Prepare and audit technical maintenance documents and records in line with IATA guidelines for aircraft re-delivery. Identify and resolve issues found during records building process to mitigate potential cost exposure due to late or incomplete documentation.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in resolving operational exceptions and ensure alignment across functions.
• Drive continuous improvement by utilising digital tools and business solutions to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Proactively lead digital transformation initiatives and system integration to achieve desired business outcomes.
• Emergency and Accident and Crisis Response responsibilities as required.
• Any other reasonable task as requested including non-operational duties and projects. 

Requirements

Academic Qualifications
• Engineering degree or Aircraft Maintenance License is preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Experience 
• Typically 6 years of relevant experience, preferably in aspects of aircraft maintenance, records and compliance requirements.
• Experience of leading and delivering business process improvement. 
• Ability to build strong and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Good knowledge of Cathay Pacific maintenance and engineering systems is an advantage.
