Role Introduction

Reports to: Head of Digital Workplace and Network

The Digital Workplace team drives employee productivity and engagement by delivering fit-for-purpose technology platforms and services.

As the Digital Workplace Product Manager, you will own assigned products (e.g., platforms, services, technologies), ensuring they align with vendor and internal roadmaps, enterprise architecture, and change management processes. You’ll lead efforts to maximize employee awareness, adoption, and satisfaction.


The role involves assessing how infrastructure platforms support business operations and development, and collaborating across IMT and the business to improve metrics like time-to-market, cost efficiency, reliability, and performance.
You’ll influence infrastructure strategy and funding priorities, and be accountable for operational health and total cost of ownership. This includes managing internal teams, external providers, and vendors to deliver effective solutions from design to production.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Direction and Standards

  • Define and maintain the product roadmap aligned with vendor developments, employee needs, and IMT’s strategic vision; monitor updates and assess business value.
  • Collaborate across teams—enterprise architecture, procurement, change management, and testing—to communicate product benefits and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Analyse business processes, manage product dependencies, streamline workflows, and track usage and impact to guide improvements.
  • Stay ahead of technology trends, drive innovation, and ensure infrastructure solutions meet Cathay’s security, quality, and procurement standards.
  • Oversee end-to-end delivery of infrastructure solutions that are cost-effective, policy-compliant, and supportable, ensuring timely and budget-conscious execution.

Infrastructure Service Ownership, Solution Formulation and Delivery

  • Design and deliver fit-for-purpose infrastructure solutions using internal and external resources, ensuring timely, budget-conscious, and high-quality implementation.
  • Plan and coordinate infrastructure delivery activities to meet business goals, using standard products and managing resource demands effectively.
  • Identify and rationalize infrastructure needs, proposing enhancements to improve performance and reduce operating costs.
  • Ensure smooth service transitions to BAU, equipping support teams with the necessary skills, documentation, and knowledge for high-quality support.
  • Manage internal teams, vendors, and service providers to maintain operational excellence, including incident resolution, proactive maintenance, and successful deployment of infrastructure changes.

Human Resource Management

  • Develop, coach, mentor, motivate, and retain a team of individuals who constantly elevate the capabilities of technology systems to meet business needs through designing, implementing, maintaining and adopting the CPA IMT standard products and services.

Vendor Management

  • Manager external service providers and product vendors ensuring their support and maintenance services are delivered according to agreed underpinning contracts
  • Manage vendors in the delivery of cost effective and timely systems development and support
  • Work with vendors continue to bring relevant technical skills and innovation in your domain to Cathay Pacific

Financial Management

  • Develop and implement cost effective standard product sets for use across Cathay Pacific.
  • Develop and update infrastructure delivery budgets annually
  • Manage infrastructure delivery within agreed budgets

Requirements

  • Minimum 15 years of IT experience, including at least 5 years in an infrastructure management role or equivalent leadership position.
  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience.
  • Over 10 years of enterprise-level experience with Active Directory, including Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS), and expertise in customizing and configuring Azure AD Connect and identity management solutions.
  • Broad knowledge of infrastructure, network, and security architecture is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Identity & Access Management technologies, including Azure AD and Active Directory.
  • Experience in end-to-end solution and process design for Privileged Access Management (PAM and PIM).
  • Skilled in designing Identity Governance solutions, including user access reviews and role-based access control, within large and complex organizations.
  • Proven experience in managing financial aspects of infrastructure, including people, vendors, hardware, software, and services, with oversight of budgets exceeding HKD 100 million per annum.
  • Demonstrated leadership and relationship management capabilities, with a strong ability to coach, motivate, and develop others.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical information in a clear, non-technical manner that builds rapport and facilitates understanding across all management levels.
