Role Introduction

We are looking for a Satety and Wellbeing Coordinator to ensure the effective coordination and implementation of employee health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives across all Cathay offices in Korea, supporting compliance with legal requirements and corporate policies. This role also provides comprehensive administrative support to the Country Head, ensuring smooth office operations.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

Employee Health, Safety and Wellbeing

  • Serve as the primary support for the Country Head Korea in overseeing Health & Safety Compliance Programmes across the four Cathay offices in Korea
  • Maintain and update OHSC (Occupational Health and Safety Commitee) meeting templates, take and publish meeting minutes, and arrange workplace environment checks as per legal requirements.
  • Coordinate Korea-wide health and safety activities, including annual physical exams and mandatory OHS training.
  • Assess employee wellbeing needs, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design and deliver impactful wellbeing programmes and help ensure employee wellness. Report on progress and impact to the CHK.

Country Head Support

  • Consistently provide high quality administrative and organisational support to the Country Head and family, including relocation, visa, and tenancy matters, as well as regular visa extensions.
  • Prepare and file documents, briefing papers, reports and presentations for Country Head as requested.
  • Coordinate with local vendors to arrange services requested by the Country Head and family.
  • Coordinate events and employee functions as required.
  • Arrange interline duty trip tickets for the Country Head.
  • Manage and submit expense claims as required.
  • Own and progress specific projects for the Country Head as required.
  • Any other reasonable task as requested.

 

Other Responsibilities

  • Support the People Manager in other people-related tasks as required.
  • Liaise with building management and manage office facilities as required.
  • Any other reasonable people admin-related task as requested.

Emergency and Accident and Crisis Response responsibilities as required

Requirements

Academic qualifications

  • University graduate

Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience

  • A demonstrably strong commitment to excellence
  • Attention to detail and high level accuracy
  • Good time management and organising skills
  • Proven ability to deal with sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Flexibility in adapting to different management styles and competing demands
  • Sensitive and responsive to the requirements of different cultures and personalities
  • Proven ability to operate effectively with limited information and able to work independently with little supervision
  • IT literate and fully conversant in the use of Microsoft applications; Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Copilot, MS Teams, and Internet Explorer
