Solution Analyst – Airport
Role Introduction
Reports to: Solution Lead
This role is part of the Solution Centre in our Information Technology (IMT) department who strive for continuous improvements so that we can provide you with a seamless experience with Cathay.
As the Solution Analyst, you will play a crucial role in translating business requirements into functional and technical specifications. You will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to drive the end-to-end solution development of software applications, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, user-friendly applications which reflect Cathay’s vision to becoming one of the world’s greatest service brands.
With your expertise, skills and knowledge in solution delivery, you will be assigned to be part of our Airport solution team to work on systems which support all of our Airport operations. Enabling you to gain exposure in airport operations that only a world-renowned airline can give.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse requirements and assess detailed solutions options from a system perspective
- Support solution design and contribute expertise and detailed knowledge to ensure high level design decisions are able to be delivered
- To ensure requirements are captured for the development projects.
- Contribute expertise in supporting the development of technical specification, recommend product enhancement initiatives
- Responsible for maintaining the quality form in the system, conduct checking throughout testing to ensure changes are reflected correctly before implementation
- Carry out level 2 and level 3 incident support for in-production systems and manage end user expectations.
- Review the Application Development vendors on development and implementation work as required
- Oversee and QA the development of all solution components ensuring this meets requirements and complies with all relevant Cathay Pacific standards
- Contribute and follow standards and frameworks for development
- Collaborate with other teams to drive innovation and keep abreast of the business strategy, business plan and latest industrial trends
Requirements
- Tertiary education plus a minimum 6 years of above-the-wing airport operations experience
- In depth knowledge of disruption and customer recovery management processes
- In depth knowledge of the Altea Customer Management system
- Strong interpersonal skills; able to promote healthy relationships and team dynamics with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors and the airline community
- Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, leveraging both logic and creativity; strong troubleshooting abilities; capable of identifying problem patterns and generating ideas
- Good understanding of airport technology concepts, trends and capabilities
