Role Introduction

Reports To: Head of Cathay Holidays

Reporting to Head of Cathay Holidays, you will manage the holidays commercial activities, booking experience and platform development to generate revenue by selling packages, hotel, car rental, and experiences for Cathay Holidays and Asia Miles.

As a ​​Platform & Growth Manager - Holidays​, you will be responsible for operating the holidays e-commerce platforms, growing the sales revenue and volume of all holiday products.

You will also work with Digital Experience Holidays to manage traffic and search to the platform, implement optimization test & initiatives to improve platform conversion, as well as collecting market & online data to generate insights to grow the platform performance and revenue.

Key Responsibilities

E-commerce sales planning and execution

  • Lead the commercial and growth team to plan and design offers, campaigns, for all holidays products, to generate traffic and revenue growth from the sales channels
  • Work with internal stakeholders, such as Cathay Holidays product partnership team, BIM, CED, DGT to implement tactical sales campaigns
  • Partner with Digital Department to drive development and use of analytics tools, a data-first culture by leveraging analytics to uncover insights and inform commercial decision

Holidays platform operations and development

  • Act is business owner and support the development of the business case for the design and development of a holidays booking platform to inspire people to travel by elevating the premium lifestyle brand of Cathay
  • Partner with Digital Experience and IT Department to build a customer centric booking experience to allow customers to purchase travel products (e.g. packages, hotels, car rental and destination experiences) seamlessly using cash/miles from any digital devices such as mobile, app, web
  • Drive proper, timely and accurate e-commerce platform operation activities including product onboarding, maintaining connectivity, and performance of the website

Strategy and planning

  • Support the Lifestyle Products leadership team and Head of Cathay Holidays to define long-term strategy for Cathay Holidays, aligning with the airline and lifestyle pillar’s vision and goals
  • Partner with Finance Department to produce robust commercial forecasts, budget, and reports that aligns with the Holidays team business plan and growth strategy
  • Partner with cross functional teams including DEX, BIM etc to design and ensure smooth execution of strategic growth initiatives

Funnel optimisation & digital enhancement

  • Partner with  product management teams to monitor & drive quality traffic to the holidays booking platform, study search behaviours to improve visibility and awareness of the holiday’s products and services

Requirements

  • A minimum of 8 years' relevant work experience in travel, hotel, and hospitality industry preferred. OTA experience a plus.
  • Experience in running digital experience project using agile approach
  • Very skillful in managing external and internal stakeholders to prioritise conflicting demands and preferences
  • Experience in using tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) to measure and manage funnel performance
  • Confident to make decision based on data analysis
  • Experience in planning and implementing optimization, tests and initiatives
  • A quick learner to understand diverse business models from a wide range of product suppliers & partnership (e.g. Hotel, travel experiences, mileage sales, etc.)
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and growth mindset to drive organizational changes
