Role Introduction

Reports to: General Manager Engineering Operations

The Cathay Engineering Line Maintenance team is responsible for delivering safe,
reliable, and efficient operations across the Cathay global line station network and
supports the Engineering vision of being a customer-obsessed, data-driven, and digitally enabled organisation that relentlessly pursues operational excellence, innovation and productivity

Key Responsibilities

The Head of Line Maintenance is responsible for delivering safe, reliable, and cost-effective maintenance services to Cathay Pacific Airways and third-party customers across the Cathay global line station network. The Head of Line Maintenance is a HKAR-145 post-holder, accountable for safety and compliance, service delivery, capability development, operational disruption recovery, supplier management, and overall business performance for all line stations. Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Providing strategic direction and build effective teams in Hong Kong and across outports
  • Driving continuous improvement in business performance, operational efficiency, and service delivery, maintaining awareness of of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies
  • Ensuring network capability to support the flight schedule and deliver operational excellence
  • Maximising productivity of resources and natural ground time
  • Developing third-party business to complement maximise resource productivity
  • Building strong relationships with Regional Management Teams and key internal stakeholders to support Engineering’s vision and goals
  • Ensuring compliance with HKAR-145 and other regulatory standards across the line station network
  • Implementing and enhancing Safety Management Systems at line stations
  • Managing CX AOC/145 matters related to the management and supervision of Maintenance Support

Requirements

  • Education: Engineering degree or valid Aircraft Maintenance Licence  
  • Experience: Minimum 12 years in aircraft engineering or maintenance, with demonstrated management and leadership experience
