Role Introduction

Reports to: Senior Digital and IT Planning Analyst

This role is part of the Digital and IT Strategy and Planning team in our Information Technology (IMT) department, which strives for continuous improvements to provide you with a seamless experience with Cathay.

As the Digital and IT Planning Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and supporting the IT financial and reporting across Digital and IT departments.

You will ensure day-to-day IT operation activities are governed and operate in an efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and keep track of IT operation cost performance for the digital and IT department
  • Responsible for creating and managing Purchase Orders (PO) for goods and services utilizing one of the four purchasing channels defined in SAP
  • Validate Project Cost Transition from Project to BAU
  • Manage project and business unit cost recharges, day-to-day queries/costing activities with the IT Manager and vendor, and support vendor invoice and payment processes
  • Prepare costing reports and display transaction records on contracts, purchase orders, delivery status, and invoice status
  • Support the team to provide an enterprise-level view of digital and IT department costs and trends
  • Collaborate with the IT Manager to facilitate management reporting in relation to department costs and analytics
  • Support the team in providing department and project investment financial budget and forecast processes
  • Assist continuous productivity improvement through automating and streamlining processes
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to identify opportunities for optimizing IT investment
  • Support financial governance to ensure transparency and visibility with the rest of the company through setting up various governance boards

 

Requirements

  • University Degree in analytical discipline – such as Computer Science, Information Systems or Accounting related disciplines
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience
  • Good experiences in SAP PTP / Ariba Network 
  • Good experiences in managing Purchase orders/Invoices/Contracts
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good business acumen, with demonstrable competency in business planning and strategy development
  • Good interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation and negotiation
  • Good communications abilities and relationship management skills
