Crew Scheduling Officer
Role Introduction
Reports to: Crew Scheduling Executive
As a Crew Scheduling Officer, you’ll play a vital role in building efficient and compliant rosters for flight and cabin crew. You’ll collaborate across departments to ensure schedules meet operational needs while respecting legal and contractual limits. This role offers a dynamic mix of planning, problem-solving, and real-time decision-making. ** This role offers multiple openings, with opportunities available for both permanent positions and 2-year contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain close coordination with Planning, Crew Planning, Crew Operations, and other relevant departments to ensure a smooth pairing production process
- Assist with annual budgeting exercises and scenario planning to support crew planning analytics and forecasting
- Construct crew pairings and rosters in compliance with CAD and company requirements, ensuring cost-effectiveness, respond to crew inquiries related to rosters and bidding
- Generate reports from JCP and/or JCR and perform analysis with guidance from Executives or Assistant Manager, Crew Scheduling
- Provide feedback on challenges and issues encountered during the production cycle to Crew Scheduling Executives for continuous improvement
- Contribute to team performance and ongoing process enhancements
- Rotate across different scheduling streams to broaden job knowledge and skills, based on business needs
- Support post-roster and pairing activities
- Assist other crew resource functions during major operational disruptions
- Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge required for the role
Requirements
- Tertiary education required
- Familiarity with Approved Flight Time Limitations Scheme (AFTLS) is a plus
- Strong spoken and written English communication
- Customer-focused, adaptable to changes
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel and Word
- Capable of working effectively under pressure
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the airline industry
