Role Introduction

Reports to: Business Transformation Manager     

 

The Integrated Operations Centre (IOC) integrates a broad spectrum of flight operations, relevant decision making and problem-solving activities to maintain schedule regularity, balance the priorities of all frontline sections and recover the schedule after disruptions in the best interests of the customers, company and staff 

The IOC is undergoing a major transformation through the replacement of its Crew Tracking System—an operationally critical platform for managing real-time changes to crew rosters. This initiative presents a unique opportunity to streamline business processes, adopt industry best practices, and transform operational management 

As the Business Analyst – Crew Tracking, you will support and drive the business analysis, process, functional testing, and change management activities associated with this project. The Business Analyst will work closely with the Business Transformation Manager and cross functional teams to analyse change impacts to business processes, support transition strategies and ensure smooth adoption of the new system with minimal disruption to the operations 

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse current workflows, SOPs, and systems to define the "as-is" state. Lead workshops to document "as-is" and "to-be" processes, highlighting pain points and opportunities 
  • Maintain Change Impact Assessments and align impacts with Change Analysts. Identify and document change types to inform readiness actions and stakeholder planning 
  • Translate process and system changes into actionable insights for operations. Create summary decks to communicate impacts and mitigation strategies 
  • Develop and execute detailed functional test cases based on business requirements. Log and triage defects using JIRA/Zephyr; work with developers and test analysts to resolve issues 
  • Prepare UAT test scripts and coordinate test cycles with business users. Facilitate UAT sessions, monitor progress, and address blockers in real time 
  • Develop training needs analysis and training plan, coordinate all training activities 
  • Create change readiness assessments and partner with stakeholders to understand readiness, highlight risks and mitigation plans; Support the cutover communications 
  • Partner closely with the project team to integrate change deliverables into overall project plans and track progress against change milestones 

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business analysis or change management within large-scale, complex system implementations 
  • Skilled in conducting gap analysis between current and future state processes, identifying change impacts, and supporting mitigation planning alongside Change Analysts. Supports Change Analysts in developing communication and training plans and contributes to stakeholder engagement and business readiness activities 
  • Experienced in documenting SOPs, business workflows, and technology processes to support both testing and change readiness. Proficient in defining use cases and translating them into testable scenarios and visual deliverables such as sequence diagrams 
  • Hands-on involvement in functional and UAT testing, including test planning, execution, defect tracking, and coordination with business users. Coordinates release deployment activities such as readiness checkpoints, go-live planning, and hyper care support 
  • Assists in validating end-user training materials and guides, and tracks adoption metrics post-implementation 
  • Ability to engage cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders across operational and technical domains 
  • Background in aviation, operations, or other mission-critical industries preferred. STEM or related technical academic background is an asset 
  • Understanding of organisational change frameworks and ability to tailor  
    approach based on change type and impact 
  • Experience in Big4 consulting firm is an advantage
