The people we select to join our Digital & IT Graduate Trainee Programme are high-calibre individuals who have the potential to eventually progress into leadership positions. For the first two years, you will be a Graduate Trainee experiencing job rotations driven by business needs, as well as your preferences and aspirations. The Engineering Graduate Trainee Programme is designed to help your career take-off and provides a pathway for professional development while helping to manage one of the world’s most technologically advanced fleet of aircraft.
The 24-month Technical Graduate Engineer Programme enables you to become a Technical Services or Fleet Programmes Engineer. Upon completion of the initial training programme, and depending upon your interests and needs of the business at the time, you will be assigned to either a Technical Services team responsible for managing the technical reliability of the fleet, or a Fleet Programmes team responsible for programme managing the introduction of new aircraft, equipment, and cabins. Your professional development then continues under your assigned home team.
The Technical Graduate Engineer Programme is accredited by the Hong Kong Institute of Engineers (Scheme ‘A’) which is designed to be a fast track for graduates to obtain full HKIE professional status.
During the programme, you will rotate to various teams to gain a wider understanding of the function and role of an airline engineering department. You will also have an opportunity to gain hands-on practical training experience in HAECO.
The 24-month Maintenance Planning Graduate Engineer Programme enables you to become a Maintenance Planning Engineer. Upon completion of the initial training programme, you will be assigned to one of our operational maintenance planning teams responsible for the planning of aircraft scheduled maintenance tasks and maintaining compliance with the aircraft maintenance programme. Your professional development then continues under your assigned home team.
During the programme, you will rotate to various teams to gain a wider understanding of the function and role of an airline engineering department. You will also have an opportunity to gain experience in our Line Maintenance Centre of Excellence operations centre, Airline Integrated Operations Centre, and gaining hands-on practical training experience in HAECO
The 24-month Inventory Management Graduate Controller Programme enables you to become an inventory and supply chain management and logistics professional. Upon completion of the initial training programme, you will be assigned to one of our Inventory Management teams that is responsible for ensuring the fleet is supplied with the inventory and spares parts required to maintain airworthiness, for overseeing a wide range of service providers and suppliers, and for managing and controlling budgetary spend. Your professional development then continues under your assigned home team.
During the programme, you will rotate between various other teams to gain a wider understanding of the functioning and role of an airline engineering department. You will also have an opportunity to gain experience in our Line Maintenance Centre of Excellence operations centre, Airline Integrated Operations Centre, and our Airline Procurement team.
The 36-month Operational Graduate Engineer Programme enables you to become a Licensed Aircraft Engineer. Upon completion of the initial training programme, and depending upon your interests and needs of the business at the time, you will be assigned to one of our operational teams responsible for managing the line operation. Your professional development then continues under your assigned home team.
The Operational Graduate Engineer Programme provides you with the necessary training and practical experience required to obtain a HKAR-66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence issued by the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department.
During the programme, you will rotate to various teams to gain a wider understanding of the function and role of an airline engineering department. You will also have an opportunity to spend a significant amount of time in HAECO to gain the necessary hands-on practical experience to hold an Aircraft Maintenance Licence.

As the Technical/Planning/Operational Graduate Engineer, you will be developed with various projects and assignments to become a competent engineer. Moving beyond Lead Engineer, you can set yourself as a Principal Engineer as the subject matter expert or a Manager with team management responsibilities.
As the Inventory Graduate Controller, you are supported and developed at all means to become professionals in inventory management. With different stretching assignments and learning opportunities, you will become the manager in leading and driving the team's success.
