Sales Operations Supervisor

Purpose

To partner with Account Managers to provide proactive sales and support to achieve the targets through the

intelligent use of data enabling the achievement of revenue and the associated targets for the portfolio.

Key responsibilities and tasks

Account Management

Manage smaller value driven Agents/Corporates as per agreed targets using an insights driven

approach

Provide coverage and support for the Account Manager role as and when required

Ownership of the SME (Business Plus) programme

Sales Support and Reporting

Manage the preparation of competitor rate comparisons on a regular basis in accordance with

Cathay’s anti-trust policies and guidelines

Proactively compile and produce regular and ad-hoc reports, revenue statements and analysis on

accounts and routes as required to support sales

Automate reporting and analysis processes whenever feasible

Update sales results for each tactical promotional fare for evaluation in a timely manner

Ensure that monthly flown revenue report and BSP sales data is prepared and is accurate

General

Execute and actively support the channel distribution strategy

Where there is no local Cathay Marketing presence, proof materials to ensure language, content

and context in the local marketplace is appropriate

Feed local pricing and competitor benchmark information to the regional pricing team or Business

Development Manager

Utilize tools such as PRISM, SFA, e-Smash and QlikView to run reports and conduct analysis for

the Corporate and Trade Account Managers

Help to manage Corporate Fare Request Sheets and CXagents.com at a local level if required

Conduct pricing intelligence and support

Undertake Indoor Account servicing as required

Any other reasonable task as requested

People Development and Performance Management

Lead, support and encourage own team to achieve success

Build a strong and motivated team, ensuring the right organisational structure and the right people

are in place to foster positive team spirit and facilitate teamwork

Supervise and mentor direct reports, encouraging effective collaboration

Demonstrate leadership and lead by example in accordance with Cathay’s core values

Develop employees with high potential and identify learning opportunities to ensure appropriate

training and development

Maintain active and ongoing dialogue in relation to employee goals and individual performance

Actively engage with employees to enhance communication and their understanding of department

goals

Support the People Managers to design and conduct internal development programs including

succession planning as appropriate ensuring alignment with Head Office direction

Enhance the employee experience in line with the role level and the internal brand promise

Qualifications / Experience

Academic qualifications

Diploma or certificate (in a relevant Sales, Marketing or Business field) is preferred

Knowledge, skills, training and experience

A minimum of two year’s relevant experience in data analysis

Demonstrable acumen in Sales and Marketing

Experience in, or knowledge of, the airline industry is a distinct advantage

Proven numeracy and analytical skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Excellent PC literacy in Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Ability to cover and progress into an Outdoor Sales role

Adaptive to and embraces constant change
