Role Introduction

Reports to: Head of Performance & Rewards

We are currently hiring Performance & Rewards Managers (on contract and perm) to join our Employee Experience department. 

Reporting to the Global Head of Performance & Rewards, the job holder will act as the lead reward expert to advise and support the Airline to harness, direct and support teams to engage in delivering our mission and objectives; designing and leading the necessary reward programmes to drive high-performance culture within the Airline. 

The job holder will oversee the full spectrum of the compensation and benefits (C&B) function in partnership with the Global P&R Managers and the Regional Heads of People. He/she will specialise in one or more of the streams: 

  • Total rewards consulting / advisory for the Head Office and/or the Outports
  • C&B operations & HR Services
  • Global mobility
Key Responsibilities

Total rewards consulting / advisory and Global mobility

  • Develop and implement compensation and benefits framework, policies and procedures that are compliant with statutory requirements and are in line with the Airline's philosophy and guidelines
  • Develop and implement performance management and rewards (monetary and non-monetary) programmes that attract and retain talent and drive high performing culture
  • Design and manage the compensation structures in the Airline (e.g., grading system, job evaluation system, job description policy, promotion policy, etc.) aligned with the corporate culture and the corporate values
  • Manage job evaluation and lead salary and benefits reviews based on market specific benchmarking to ensure competitiveness
  • Act as a lead consultant on compensation, incentive and pension schemes, and advise on transfer, mobility and offer management as required, and review exceptions in the compensation of the individual employees
  • Develop and implement rewards communication strategies in partnership with Internal Communication and Talent Acquisition teams in alignment with Company and Employer branding, and manage benefits communication calendar and content
  • Manage compensation-related processes, including but not limited to salary planning, bonus planning, annual staff cost budget planning 

C&B operations & HR Services

  • Manage various C&B operation (e.g., insurance and outsourced vendor renewal, HR audit, compensation & benefits database management, HR cost monitoring and forecasting) 
  • Oversees the management of various outsourced vendors / administrators to ensure good standard in the dining experience, employee transportation, relocation services and benefits claims
  • Manage and review HR processes in partnership with the Digital Employee Experience and the Global Business Services teams to ensure efficient transition with downstream reward-related operation e.g. payroll, employee documentation, on-boarding and off-boarding, etc. 

Applicable to all streams

  • Provide advice to the business (e.g., Global Business Services teams, HR Business Partners) by providing guidelines and clarifications on policies and their application
  • Participate in and/or leading HR or non-HR projects focused on continuous improvement
  • Manage, lead and develop the Performance & Rewards Team
  • Provide periodic training to HR Business Partners, Recruiters, and key stakeholders in the business in the rewards and performance management areas

 

Requirements

  • Degree holder in Human Resources Management / Organisational Psychology or business-related discipline
  • At least 10 years working experience as in-house HR professional and/or in HR consultancy preferably in multinational / multi-geography organisations, with proven track-record in compensation & benefits, rewards and performance management. Candidates with less experience will be considered as Performance & Rewards Lead
  • Good knowledge of statutory requirements, employment laws, pensions legislations and regulatory environment in Hong Kong and other regions
  • Proficient skills in MS Office and experience in using HRIS system (Oracle), Compensation Management and Performance Management software, and HR analytics tools
  • Knowledge of aviation employee travel and benefits programmes advantageous
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, and high attention to detail/accuracy
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work across all levels and locations within the organization
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure
