Role Introduction

  • To support the execution of total rewards and performance philosophies and strategies, frameworks and policies to drive optimal organizational behavior in the region.
  • To manage external relationships with vendors, such as FESCO/FASCO, ADP and support Human Resource related systems enhancement work.
Key Responsibilities

Compensation and Benefits

  • Participate in the development, implementation, analysis and administration of total rewards programmes for the region
  • Actively support salary survey and benchmarking activity
  • Support (or lead as required) job evaluation activity and job family updating
  • Participate the year-end processes, generate reports and analytics to ensure an equitable review process that is aligned with business objectives and global directives
  • Manage the day-to-day total reward tasks, in compliance with the company's policies and procedures, and local regulations
  • Manage the Human Resource operation process excellence, including payroll management, employment contract management, PeopleCX maintenance, personnel file management, local regulation documents etc.
  • Support service delivery associated with various employee benefits programmes for example medical, insurance, housing, retirement, employee travel etc.
  • Support (or lead as required) employee benefits projects
  • Implement approved new benefit plans and changes, by coordinating, and preparing communication materials to employees

Policy

  • Manage the People Department’s reporting framework, collecting and tracking data, building statistical models and conducting analysis of results and trends etc.
  • Handle benefits inquires and complaints to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution
  • Manage relationships and stakeholders across both airlines with outside vendors (e.g. insurance companies, payroll vendor, etc.)
  • Support the development, communication and compliance of policies and guidelines
  • Monitor regulatory changes that potentially affect benefits programmes, identifying and recommending necessary changes
  • Any other reasonable task as required

People Development and Performance Management

  • Lead, support and encourage own team to achieve success
  • Demonstrate leadership and lead by example in accordance with Cathay’s core values
  • Maintain active and ongoing dialogue in relation to employee goals and individual performance
  • Actively engage with employees to enhance communication and their understanding of department goals

E&A

  • Emergency & Accident and Crisis Response responsibilities as required
Requirements

Academic qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Human Resource management or or relevant discipline

 

Knowledge, skills and experiences:

  • 4+ years’ experience in Human Resources specialising in compensation and benefits, preferably in multinational / multi-geography organisations
  • Experience in conducting salary survey and reward analytics
  • Experience working with core Human Resource Information Systems platforms development, data extraction and reporting
  • Well versed with common Human Resource practices and sound knowledge of employment ordinances with good understanding of employment ordinances
  • Data-driven and highly analytical with the ability to translate data and trends into insights and actionable recommendations
  • Strong excel skills with experience using statistical modelling software being an advantage
  • Excellent time management, planning and organising skills
  • Good team working and relationship management skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in both English and Mandarin
