Role Introduction

Reports To: Marketing Manager Global

The position holder is the ‘storyteller’ for Cathay Pacific to plan and execute integrated marketing communication campaigns to portray Cathay’s brand, products & services, and other company stories with maximum positive buzz and impact focusing on a global level. 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Global Marketing initiatives
    • Assist in whole year-round global marketing activities, incorporating known initiatives from other business units that have a global or multi-markets appeal, ranging from brand, new products & services and other positive newsworthy stories, e.g. Inflight Dining, Sustainability, Digital Experience, promote Hong Kong and GBA as a destination, award winning service and products to help maximize the buzz for the Cathay on a global level.
    • Consolidate creative assets for global marketing usage incorporating marketing, PR, social, different channels, and content mix, and identify the most effective and cost-efficient approach for each campaign or communication needs.
    • Work closely with different stakeholders and internal teams for overall message planning that cut across paid, owned, earned media and channels.
    • Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of each campaign.
    • Accountable for delivering the story to be aligned with the brief, adhered to brand guidelines, met project objectives with agreed cost and timeline, and delivered agreed business results.
  2. Oversee regional marketing campaigns
    • Provide day to day support to regional marketing teams to run major brand campaigns to ensure synergy between at global and regional level.
    • Assist and coordinate regional marketing teams to run local marketing campaign.
    • Ensure the regional plans are adhere to head office direction, guideline and requirements. Local needs and feedback are also properly addressed and channelled through.
Requirements

  • University degree in marketing, communications, business administration or other related disciplines
  • Minimum of 3-4 years Marketing experience and has integrated communications planning experience in global or regional market
  • High degree of internet savvy, with a curiosity and enthusiasm for digital and media trends
  • Excellent Chinese and English writing skills. Native in Cantonese, fluent in English
  • Experience in airline, travel, or hospitality industry will be an advantage
  • Good communications planning skills across paid / owned/ earned media, with deep understanding of the nature and usage of different media channels for effective communications
  • Good negotiation and influencing skills
  • Highly organised and attention to details
  • Excellent problem solving and project management skills – able to identify, analyse and propose solutions to various business or execution issues
