Learning Development Executive

Department : The Learning Academy

Reports to : Assistant Learning Manager – Passenger Services

This role is responsible for the training of a wide variety of airport operations and customer services training activities for HKIA (primary audience) and outport (secondary) frontline colleagues.   

Key responsibilities and tasks

  • Deliver functional, technical and service training programmes
  • Conduct training courses (induction and progression) and associated assessments for frontline staff
  • Conduct and administer training courses
  • Be a coach of new joiner training
  • Revise and update training programmes and materials
  • Participate in new learning program design and assist in conducting Training Needs Analysis (TNA) as and when required
  • Provide system and ground handling agents cut-over support (technical training) to airports system-wide as and when required
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects as and when required

Qualifications / Experience

  • 3+ years of airport passenger handling experience (service leader experience or above preferred) with good performance record
  • Working experience at landside and airside - experience in Flight Control and/or Premium Services Team will be advantageous
  • In-depth subject matter knowledge
  • Role model of customer service and operational excellence
  • Strong personal presence and verbal / non-verbal communication skills
  • Good command of both English and Cantonese
  • Excellent report writing skills (in English)
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Strong planning and organising skills
  • Strong sense of responsibility and acts as a supportive team player
  • Facilitation skills to deliver learning sessions and a passion for learning
