Role Introduction

Reports to: Engineering Transform & Digital Manager

The Engineering Digital & Processes Team within Transformation Projects works with corporate DGT and selected partners to develop digital services and solutions to support improving Engineering processes and decisions (e.g. Aircraft Defect alerting, Diagnostics, Prognostics and Predictive Maintenance).

The team champions and drives the intelligent use of digital data and analytics to make better decisions across Engineering. Leveraging Corporate DGT, IT and ENG partners to expand ENG digital capabilities and access wider pools of data (outside of ENG).

It is the internal ENG governance team for self-service analytics, working closely with DGT corporate governance. As well as being responsbile for developing ENG cross-sectional analytics and more complexed, beyond end-user self-services analytics. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop digital solutions to support improving Engineering processes and providing insights for decision making.
  • Be the Subject Matter Exepert (SME) on ENG and Corporate data analytics tools to other ENG users.
  • Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the ENG data model to ENG and other users.
  • Maintain relationships with BUs, provide reporting and analytical support to them and support cross-functional Digitalisation projects.
  • Manage the extraction, aggregation and quality assurance of data from multiple sources in support of operational reporting and quantitative analyses.
  • Research, identify and implement new opportunities and solutions to improve capabilities and efficiency of the ENG operation.
  • Provide reporting, analytics and consultative support for data analytics that is relevant and actionable.
  • Collaborate with IT, business units and external parties to advance the company’s digital capabilities.

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in aircraft maintenance and/or IT analytics. Relevant experience in data management related activities.
  • Degree in Engineering / Aerospace/ IT Analytics discipline or a proven data analysis role.
  • Proven experience in managing projects and cross functional teams
  • Strong knowledge in aspects of ENG processes.
  • Proven experience in the use of IT data analytics tools and data preparation
  • Strong in communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Drive for excellence.
  • Adaptable and responsive to change. Demonstrate ability to drive change.
  • Able to collaborate and influence multi-skilled teams.
