Role Introduction

Reports To: Employee Engagement Manager

A creative thinker and delivery focused, you will work with the Employee Engagement Manager to develop and execute engagement strategies, campaigns and events to elevate the employee experience and drive engagement across our varied employee groups in our home base, Hong Kong, and globally. Your key focus will involve contributing to the strategic development of engagement plans and initiatives, leading and executing projects, and working collaboratively with the team and others to deliver outcomes aimed at shaping a positive work environment in support of our business goals to in turn, influence customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Employee Engagement Manager to develop company-wide engagement strategies and our calendar of activities to elevate the employee experience, instil positivity and keep our employees engaged with the company
  • Contribute to the strategic direction and planning of engagement campaigns and events to connect our employees with the company’s purpose, vision, values and strategy
  • Lead the implementation of engagement activities to enable the team to deliver high-quality and engaging experiences for our varied employee groups in Hong Kong and the regions; manage ad hoc initiatives where needed
  • Bring in own expertise to deliver engaging programmes and events alongside the team, including our annual leadership conference, quarterly senior leadership meetings, town hall events, and various employee recognition and award programmes
  • Partner and collaborate with departments and regional teams to deliver engagement initiatives and provide support where needed
  • Provide guidance and support to Cathay’s sports and interest clubs; promote club activities to employees through our internal communications and social platforms as well as engagement events
  • Partner with the respective organising committees of our parent company, Swire, as well as other Hong Kong-based associations to organise and promote inter-company sports events
  • Support content creation to promote engagement activities and facilitate communication with stakeholders and participants
  • Continuously identify opportunities, tools and solutions to improve the quality and delivery of engagement campaigns and events, including coming up with creative new ideas, developing progress reports, as well as creating guidelines and protocols to improve impact and efficiency
  • Build collaborative relationships with the broader team and regional/department counterparts, as well as managing external vendor relationships
  • Keep on top of the latest creative campaigns, trends, technologies and innovations in the employee engagement and experience space
  • Support on developing and managing own team’s budget

  • Degree holder with a minimum of 5 years in communications, employee engagement or event roles
  • Experience developing and executing employee engagement strategies, campaigns and events
  • Strong planning, project management and communication skills
  • Knowledge of trends, tools and techniques that drive employee engagement and deliver great employee experiences
  • Ability to stay agile, think strategically and creatively in a fast-paced environment, with a customer-focused mindset
  • Ability to build professional working relationships at all levels and manage multiple stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing demands
  • Proactive, high drive and positive energy
  • Action oriented and self-motivated
  • Able to work and keep calm under pressure
