Cathay Pacific is looking for an energetic and customer-focused Corporate Account Manager focusing on New Business Development to be based in Melbourne, working from home. This permanent full-time role reports directly to the Head of Corporate Sales – South West Pacific. You will be part of a dynamic team working with local and global accounts.

The Corporate Account Manager’s main focus is to effectively use data to acquire new business and proactively manage existing sales accounts to achieve and exceed Corporate and Travel Management Company (TMC) sales targets.

The successful candidate must have the flexibility to proactively anticipate changing priorities and have a hands-on approach to seeking new business opportunities within a competitive market.

Key responsibilities:

  • Actively initiate and follow up on sales actions, obtain sales leads and seek new business;
  • Service the existing portfolio, accounts and TMCs to maintain and grow value by making regular sales visits to conduct presentations, seminars and provide product/services updates;
  • Negotiate contracts in a timely manner;
  • Closely monitor and analyse the effectiveness of incentive/discount schemes;
  • Manage the cost of sales needed to generate revenue within mandated parameters;
  • Represent Cathay Pacific at industry and networking events.

Requirements we are looking for:   

  • Exceptional negotiation skills with a solutions based attitude;
  • Recent sales experience with proven track record of achieving targets;
  • Demonstrated networking and relationship management skills;
  • Must have a valid and current Australian Drivers License;
  • Knowledge of PRISM, MIDT and Sales Force Automation is preferred;
  • Excellent MS Office application skills;
  • Actively seeks continuous improvement and embraces data driven insights;
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to change.
