This role will generate actionable quantitative insight to support the data & insight driven culture in decision making processes. He/she will need to proactively support business streams in applying and integrating the right set of metrics, analytics model and visualization into day-to-day processes. Enhancing analytics power with new data, derived insight, tools and training with proper testing and requirement sets and ensure quality & data governance policies and processes to uphold security, quality and value of the analytics assets.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist business streams users to frame business questions and articulate opportunities in order to define effective business requirements to meet objectives
  • Proactively evaluate and incorporate data & insights from new sources, to enhance capabilities of  analytics models
  • Coordinate with IMT and BU on UAT testing, including specifications review, testing approach design, UAT scoping and execution
  • Ensure actionable insights are interfaced to targeted downline systems to support analytics usages and targeted actions
  • Design and build BI solutions and visualization dashboards to inform business decisions and facilitate adoption of insights among user communities
  • Train and facilitate users to exploit insights to facilitate day-to-day decision making
  • Propose and follow through on benefit measurements and continuous improvement
  • Enforce data governance practices to uphold the value of the data access, both within the company and with external parties


  • Tertiary education in Actuarial Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Management, Operations Research or related disciplines;
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience relating to data & analytics with a good understanding of at least one of the following business areas: Operations, Customer management, Service Delivery, Sales & Marketing or Finance
  • Strong analytical abilities, numerate and familiar with statistical algorithms, ideally with exposure in developing optimization models
  • Expert in using analytics & query tools e.g. Alteryx, SQL, SAS, Python
  • Proficiency in data modelling techniques and visualisation tools e.g.Qliksense, Power BI
  • Team player with strong communication & interpersonal skills, able to share effectively across different business streams
  • Curious, meticulous, self-motivated and strong continuous improvement mindset
  • Working knowledge in managing vendors and suppliers and project management a plus
