Role Introduction

Reports to: Talent Management Manager

The AM Talent Management (Performance Management) is responsible for administrating and implementing performance management initiatives.
 
This role is a key member of the Talent Management team who reports to and supports the Talent Management Manager to maintain the performance management platform and implement career management initiatives globally. The AM Talent Management (Performance Management) is expected to work closely with Talent Management Managers and Business Partners to execute various interventions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take the lead on the administration, implementation and continuous process enhancement of the performance management cycle with regular reporting
  • Champion collection and analysis of internal and external data in driving high-performance culture and facilitating talent development and retention initiative
  • Coordinate with Business Partners and Internal Communications team to plan and organise briefing/communications on performance management processes
  • Assist in the analysis of market insights to build the skills and competencies taxonomy with an ongoing review of relevancy and suitability
  • Assist Talent Management Manager in driving the adoption of a centralised platform for robust performance management
  • Document all necessary records and information in an organised manner to facilitate audit and assessment between Cathay and external professionals
Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration, HR or relevant discipline
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in performance management / talent management preferably experience gained in aviation or conglomerate
  • Demonstrable experience of implementing performance management process by applying common HR practices and complying statutory and compliance requirements of Hong Kong and other regions
  • Ability to work with multiple teams and to create positive changes in a collaborative, convincing manner, and the ability to manage client expectations 
  • Ability to manage difficult situations with tact and diplomacy; multi-task in a fast-paced environment; and maintain confidentiality is critical
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity. Understanding the issue and utilising the resources available, to achieve the desired solution with sensitivity 
  • Sound data analytic and digital skills (i.e., MS Teams, M365, Qualtrics)
  • Strong influencing, consulting, and stakeholder relationship management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communications in English and Chinese
