Assistant Manager, Performance & Reward (Compensation) (15-month contract)

Reports to: Performance & Reward Manager (Compensation)

The jobholder is accountable for supporting Performance and Reward Manager in the development and execution of total rewards and performance philosophies and strategies, frameworks and policies to drive optimal organisational behaviour. Primary responsibilities include developing and managing pay structures, job families and job titles, job evaluation activity, managing salary survey and benchmarking processes for the business, managing related systems and reporting requirements; and leading the design and implementation of compensation management process and technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development, implementation, analysis and administration of total rewards programmes
  • Act as subject matter expert for all reward activity across both airlines
  • Manage salary survey and benchmarking activity
  • Design and manage structures and processes to ensure effective and consistent organisational application of reward policies
  • Analyse airline compensation and benefits practices against the market
  • Lead job evaluation activity
  • Lead job family updating
  • Manage job description storage, access and distribution
  • Participate the year-end process; generate reports and analytics to ensure an equitable review process and align with business objectives
  • Manage the day-to-day total reward tasks, in compliance with the company's policies and procedures
  • Coordinate and participate in global / regional rewards related projects in line with the reward strategy and priorities while meeting local needs
  • Develop communications and training materials for HR, line managers and employees as required

Total Rewards Project

  • Work with other CoEs and HR Business Partners as required, to design an effective pay-for-performance compensation process, and lead the technology implementation with top-down oversight throughout entire execution to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, and timeline
  • Develop comprehensive project plan that incorporate the requirements gathered, ensuring alignment with Reward philosophy, global consistency and local compliance
  • Proactively communicate with all involved stakeholders, and coordinate with project team including IT and working group during all project phases, from initial development through implementation
  • Lead change management activities, including developing multi-media training materials for HR, and line managers

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Human Resources Management / Business Administration or a related discipline
  • 4-5 years’ experience in HR specialising in compensation and benefits, preferably in multinational / multi-geography organisations
  • Experience working with market-based pay structures
  • Experience in conducting salary survey and reward analytics 
  • Well versed with common HR practices and sound knowledge of employment ordinances, ideally with good understanding of employment ordinances across multiple countries worldwide
  • Strong numeric and analytical skills
  • Project management experience, particularly technology and / or process design projects
  • Change management experience advantageous
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong excel skills (e.g. vlook up, pivot tables etc.) and experience using statistical modelling software advantageous
  • Experience working with salary surveys and core HRIS platforms
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
