Inflight Operations Technical Executive

Department: Inflight Service Delivery
Reports to: Assistant Manager Inflight Operations Technical

This position is responsible for enabling Cabin Crew to deliver excellent inflight service for both Cathay Pacific and Cathay Dragon by specifying inflight service requirements to Engineering team, especially on aircraft delivery and retrofit projects. He/she will also be responsible for the development of new aircraft (narrow body), ensuring all inflight service delivery requirements are met, supporting crew's daily operation and the documentation of manual for technical support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support in reviewing the Layout of Passenger Accommodation (LOPA)
  • Lead new aircraft type feasibility study for all narrow body aircraft
  • Support narrow body aircraft's Request for Proposal (RFP) process
  • Support galley design, system and seat development on all narrow body aircraft
  • Specify technical requirements, and develop technical procedures to ensure inflight service delivery for all narrow body aircraft
  • Provide support and documentation for new inflight non-customer facing hardware and equipment supporting the inflight operations
  • Act as Inflight Service Delivery coordinator for new aircraft delivery and liaise closely with Engineering team
  • Prepare communication for new product launch and procedures changes
  • Responsible for following up on cabin defect
  • Maintain ISD Manuals - technical and cabin crew duties & tasks
  • Research, analyse and response to Cabin Crew feedback on technical areas, specialising in narrow body aircraft operation


  • Tertiary education with at least 5 years’ experience in airline inflight service or related area
  • Strong technical background
  • Experience with Cathay Dragon fleet and operation is an advantage
  • Receptive and responsive to feedback
  • Analytical, pragmatic and flexible in solving problems
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
