Assistant Manager - Global Distribution System (GDS) Management

Role Introduction

Reports to: Distribution Manager, GDS, NDC & B2B Portal

The incumbent will be responsible for managing GDS relationships, commercial contracts, and cost accounts to meet the GDS cost budget, as well as executing GDS strategy. He/she will also be responsible to drive NDC adoption. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage strategic GDS relationships and partnerships
  • Review and manage GDS contracts to achieve the best terms for CX
  • Manage the GDS cost account to meet GDS cost target and channel shift savings
  • Review cost of sale and execute GDS strategy
  • Focus on the customers’ success to ensure that key partners are supported throughout their migration to NDC from both a commercial and technical perspective.  Support the NDC onboarding analysis by balancing the profitability with a cost effective distribution and licensing model on sales channels via NDC
Requirements

  • Strong understanding and minimum 5 years of experience in GDS management including contracts & cost management. Strong background in distribution dynamics is a must
  • Strong analytical, communication and negotiation skills
  • Able to represent CX to negotiate with GDS
  • Also need to understand & drive the new distribution capability (NDC) development and its implication on GDS contract & management
  • Good understanding on other shopping & booking cost is essential
