Role Introduction
Reports To: Analytics Manager
- Generate actionable quantitative insight to support the data & insight driven culture in decision making processes
- Proactively support business teams in selecting the right set of metrics, benefit tracking and evaluation models
- Enhance analytics power with new data, derived insight, appropriate data model, tools and training
- Ensure quality & data governance policies and processes to uphold security, quality and value of the analytics assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive business streams and insight team to frame business questions, test the hypothesis, and supply evidence and analytical models for decision making
- Proactive in bringing in new data & insight, support data model design and data definitions to ensure proper integration of internal and external sources
- Formulate plan and monitor progress to ensure timeliness of studies and results are incorporated into business processes
- Manage enhancements on data and tools to advance the analytical power, including analytics requirement, testing, prepare training material and delivery
- Liaise with IT & Quality Control to implement quality metrics, ensuring accessibility and consistency of data and readiness of related analytics capabilities
- Enforce data governance practices to uphold the value of the data access, within the company and external parties
- Work closely with Analytics Managers and Insight managers on cross-stream collaboration to build enterprise insight
- Work closely with other business teams, IT and vendors in ensuring new projects success for both acceptance, implementation and post implementation usage by DGT & business teams
Requirements
- Tertiary education in Mathematics, Statistics, Information Management, Operations Research or related disciplines;
- Minimum 5 years of working experience relating to data & analytics with a good understanding of at least two of the following business areas: Operations, Customer management, Service Delivery, Sales & Marketing or Finance management
- Strong analytical abilities, numerate and able to articulate details in a story-telling approach
- Expert in using analytics tools, visualization tools, SQL, reporting tools and database management concepts
- Good understanding in database concepts, data modelling & business intelligence disciplines
- Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Curious, meticulous, self-motivated and strong continuous improvement mindset
- Good knowledge on project management skills and testing acceptance techniques with solid experience in cross departmental work and business process review
- Working knowledge in managing vendors and supplier
