Accounting Supervisor 2 - Commercial

Reports to: Assistant Accounting Services Manager

Candidate will serve as a key member of the accounting services team assisting the Accounting Services Manager in liaising with the business unit on all finance related matters and providing financial analysis and ad hoc support to business unit.  This role is to provide general accounting support in the preparation of various monthly reports and forecast & budget exercise.

Key responsibilities:

Key areas of accountability (and associated outputs):

Month End Closing and Reporting

  • Responsible for monthly close and day-to-day financial related matters for line department
  • Analyse monthly operating results for management review
  • Prepare monthly reports (e.g. MRP, inflight sales transaction report)
  • Provide support to ASM and BUs in relation to cost monitoring and process improvement in relation to financial related matters

Day to Day Financial related matters, including

  • Ensure proper accounting treatment in SAP and bring to attention any issues
  • Liaise with relevant parties with regards to financial issues raised by BUs
  • Reconcile the daily Inflight sales transactions and bank reconciliation
  • Ad hoc assignments as and when required


  • Assist line departments in the forecasting and budget preparation
  • Prepare budget/forecasts templates
  • Upload figures in BPC and ensure accuracy


  • Prepare relevant schedules for interim/annual closing in accordance with Hong Kong Accounting Standards and other statutory requirements, and explain significant variance


  • HKCEE standard with a pass in English (Syll B) or grade 2 in English
  • Higher diploma or above in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
  • 1-2 years relevant experience is preferable
  • Strong skills in MS Office applications, especially in Excel
  • Experience in using SAP advantageous
  • A quick learner with the ability to work independently, be self-motivated and attentive to details
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Cantonese
  • Able to work under pressure and being flexible when necessary to meet deadlines
  • Willing to challenge the status quo and improve work processes
  • Willingly goes beyond the scope of own role to get work done
