One experience that stood out was preparing for the first aid assessment. Practising repeatedly alongside his classmates reinforced the importance of teamwork and working towards a shared goal.
That same spirit continues to define his day-to-day work. Darren recalls an incident where a passenger became unwell during a flight. The cabin crew immediately came together, with some team members providing care and first aid while others ensured cabin operations and service continued smoothly. Through clear communication and seamless coordination, the team was able to resolve the situation while keeping passenger safety at the heart of everything they did.
"Even when we've never worked together before, everyone is willing to step in and support one another," Darren shares. "That sense of trust and teamwork is what truly makes Cathay feel like home."
