Solution Analyst – Subsidiaries
Role Introduction
Reports to: Solution Lead
This position sits within the Information Technology (IMT) Department Subsidiary Solution Centre, specifically Vogue Laundry, one of our subsidiaries, which provides a seamless laundry experience designed to meet the highest standards of reliability and quality.

As the Solution Analyst, you will play a crucial role in translating business requirements into functional and technical specifications. You will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to drive the end-to-end solution development of software applications, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, user-friendly applications which reflect Cathay’s vision to becoming one of the world’s greatest service brands.

Key Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements and evaluate solution options from a system perspective
- Provide expertise during solution design to ensure high-level decisions are feasible
- Convert, align, and map requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications
- Ensure thorough documentation and traceability of requirements for software projects
- Support the development and refinement of technical specifications
- Perform hands-on technical development, implementation, and level 2/3 production support
- Review and oversee vendor development and implementation work as needed
- QA all solution components to ensure compliance with requirements and standards
- Stay updated on business strategy, plans, and industry trends
- Define infrastructure standards, maintain system documentation, identify automation opportunities, and support testing and change management
Requirements
- A minimum of 6 years of IT with at least 3 years in application development and support; Tertiary qualifications are essential
- Working expereince in IT infrastructure and operations is required
- Experience in business analysis, including requirements gathering and stakeholder engagement
- Work experience in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), virtualization technologies (VMware, OpenShift), database management (MySQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL), and operating systems (Windows, Linux) is preferred
- Experience in project management for application upgrades and digital transformation initiatives will be a plus
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- ITIL certification and Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) are preferred
- Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, leveraging both logic and creativity; strong troubleshooting skills; ability to identify patterns and generate ideas
- Good understanding of technology concepts, trends and capabilities
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
