Role Introduction

Reports to: Portfolio Solution Manager

You will join the Information Technology team (IMT) within the Subsidiaries Back Office unit, working closely with multiple subsidiaries and key business stakeholders across the organisation.

This role is responsible for understanding business needs and driving technology direction and solution delivery across medium to large scale initiatives, with a primary focus on Procurement and People applications.

You will gain exposure to complex, enterprise wide transformation initiatives, strengthen your leadership capability in solution delivery, and work with diverse stakeholders while shaping technology roadmaps aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide pre-project consulting and partner with business stakeholders to understand priorities, challenges and requirements
  • Co-create and maintain product and solution roadmaps aligned with business vision and organisational goals
  • Lead the design, planning, development and delivery of IT products and applications for medium to large scale initiatives
  • Collaborate with developers, analysts, architects and vendors to define robust, scalable and secure technical solutions
  • Facilitate solution design walkthroughs to validate alignment with business needs and IT architecture
  • Drive end-to-end project delivery including planning, execution, testing, governance and risk mitigation
  • Act as an escalation point to resolve complex solution, delivery or stakeholder issues effectively
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement
  • Manage team resources and external partners to ensure timely and high-quality delivery outcomes
  • Coach, mentor and provide direction to solution analysts and team members to build strong delivery capability

Requirements

  • Degree in Information Technology or a related discipline, with a Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant IT experience across software development, system analysis, business analysis, solution definition and system testing
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies, DevOps practices, APIs, mobility and HR systems is an added advantage
  • Solid software development capability and proven experience managing software development teams
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to drive technical innovation and continuous improvement
  • Experience working with outsourced and globally distributed teams
  • Corporate project and support experience is highly advantageous
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Extensive client-facing experience with strong stakeholder and relationship management skills
