Learning Specialist – Academy Programmes
Role Introduction
Reports to: Organisation Development Assistant Manager, Academy Programmes
The Cathay Academy department (CAY) aspires to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement, leveraging technology as a tool to enhance scalability and tailor the approval to individual needs. We drive for a consistent, seamless, Cathay style learning experience, and highlight both the design and delivery of our world-class training programs and curriculums.
In this role, you will support the Organisation Development Manager and Assistant Manager on programme operations and maintenance of the CAY, from logistic arrangements for all in-person, virtual or hybrid programmes to liaison with internal and external participants and other key stakeholders.
You will be the ambassador of CAY to extend world-class service to programme participants, which is in line with Cathay’s service excellence culture, by building relationships with participants from enrolment to post-programme evaluation. This will directly contribute to the experience that we aspire to provide to all participants from new joiners to seasoned leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in CAY programme operations, e.g. onboarding and career milestones, etc.
- Support logistic arrangement planning related to the programmes, e.g. course dates, venues, course material transport and venue set-up etc.
- Support budgeting and expense tracking and managing training records
- Negotiate, liaise and coordinate with external vendors
- Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and other departments on programme related arrangement
- Prepare programme materials and on-site support for in-person, virtual or hybrid events to ensure all programmes are run smoothly
- Provide timely support, information and logistic arrangements for all participants
- Maintain at least one session of facilitation per month
Requirements
- Degree holder, preferably in education or training related discipline
- 3 years of work experience in customer service, hospitality and/or cabin crew or airport services experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both written and spoken English
- Good presentation skills and listening skills
- A quick learner who is organized and able to work effectively and professionally under time pressure with strong desire to help others to succeed
- Open-minded and adaptive to change
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Ability to plan and organize tasks and responsibilities in support of project work
- Good working knowledge of Windows application software i.e. Words, Excel, PowerPoint
- Experience in handling projects
