Assistant Manager – Digital Enablement and Infrastructure (13-month contract)
Role Introduction
Reports to: Resource Planning & Project Manager
The Assistant Manager Digital Enablement and Infrastructure sits under the Inflight Service Delivery Department, mainly responsible for for leading digital transformation initiatives within the Inflight Service Delivery Department. This role focuses on enhancing analytics capabilities, identifying and implementing new digital solutions, and driving business improvements through technology. The position involves overseeing analytics processes from data collection to visualization, maintaining data governance, and promoting analytics both within and beyond the inflight services domain. Additionally, the Assistant Manager acts as a project manager for digital initiatives and fosters innovation and change.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for end-to-end analytics enablement, ranging from new data / data source collection / acquisition, business problem framing, data model design, data analysis and visualisation, data maintenance and governance, analytics promotion to within and outside of the in-flight services domain, and work closely with ISD teams to derive actionable insights
- Identifies and formulates solutions to generate new digital capabilities and data necessary to drive business improvements, works with Digital in exploring opportunities to introduce new technology to existing business processes, with the objective to drive operational, productivity and service excellence
- Stay updated with industry trends in digital enablement for in-flight services, and propose enhancements to existing processes and tools
- Act as the project manager for the implementation of all identified projects – ensuring coordination, execution, risk management, cost control and implementation of all identified initiatives
- Act as a change agent for ISD as a whole. In doing so, ensure a change mindset is embedded across the department and innovation and business improvement initiatives are continually identified, assessed and where appropriate, implemented
- Drive ongoing automation improvements across all ISD teams leveraging digital solutions
- Promote cross-departmental collaborations to share knowledge, tools and best practices to drive digital enablement
Requirements
- University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related Discipline; with minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in IT system related project coordination and development
- Proven experience of technical solution delivery or application development management with the ability to work collaboratively across business teams, technical teams, UAT teams and external partners
- Possess strong analytical skills to identify underlying business needs and translate them into actionable requirements
- Business acumen with good influencing and stakeholder management skills, solid stakeholder management experience
- Proven experience in demonstrate the expertise in working independently and driving discussions with stakeholders
- Highly motivated, independent, dynamic, and innovative team player with exceptional interpersonal, communication, organizational, analysis and problem-solving skills. Capable of effectively collaborating across different business streams and sharing knowledge and insights
- Meticulous professional with a detail-oriented approach. Possesses excellent multitasking abilities and thrives under pressure to meet deadlines. Self-motivated with a strong mindset for continuous improvement
- Fluency in both written and spoken English and Chinese, Mandarin is a plus
- Hands on experience in loyalty industry or Loyalty system development projects; and managing vendors and suppliers and project management are definite advantages
- Knowledge of Agile Scrum and design thinking will be an advantage
